Kent family papers : series VII : Hollister family, generations III and IV, 1849-1936.

This series of the Kent Family Papers contains papers relating to generations III and IV of the Hollister family of Marshfield, Vermont, particularly the family of Susan Blanche Hollister Kent. This series consists of a collection of letters written to Blanche's mother, Flora Coburn Hollister, from family members and friends, notably Diana Putnam. Also included are Flora Hollister's estate papers. There are also letters written by Susan Blanche Kent's brother, John "Murray" Hollister, to his parents and from his friends, as well as papers from his time at Goddard Seminary. Papers for Susan Blanche Kent's other siblings, Harry Dwight, Alice Phoebe, Stephen Rich, and George Henry Hollister are also included as is a collection of letters, correspondence, financial papers, business correspondence and papers, and estate papers from her father, Samuel "Dwight" Hollister. Of note in this series are a Marshfield, Vermont, tax collector's book (1843-1858), and a lotting plan for Pierre, South Dakota, from 1885. There are also papers concerning Hollister real estate holdings.

Susan Blanche Hollister (1852-1938), known as Blanche, of Hollister Hill in Marshfield, Vermont, married Leroy Abdiel "Roy" Kent (1843-1911) in 1875, after which time the couple lived in Kents Corner. Blanche Kent was the daughter of Samuel "Dwight" Hollister and Flora S. Coburn of Marshfield.
